The film features in-depth interviews and exclusive access behind the scenes to Daniel's dressing room and tour bus during his recent UK and US tour, including his triumphant return to Branson, Missouri. With contributions from friends, colleagues and fans who have played an important role in his private and professional life over the years, their anecdotes reveal how life was not always so sweet for Daniel. Fascinating archive takes viewers on a trip down memory lane, charting his early days in tiny venues across Ireland to sell-out arena shows across the world. The Donegal-based singer, one of the most prolific and successful recording artists in the UK charts, is the only artist in the world to score a hit in the UK album charts every year since 1988, an unprecedented and unbroken 34-year span. In doing so, he has outshone everyone from Michael Jackson and Madonna, to U2 and the Rolling Stones. There are revealing interviews with his family, as his wife Majella, sister Margo and, in a TV first, Daniel's eldest brother, John Bosco O'Donnell talk about their relationships with Daniel over the years. Daniel's best friend since school, PJ Sweeney, his friend and mentor Philomena Begley, Dungloe postman Owen Doyle, and the two Donegal boys who produced the video for his recent viral hit "Down at the Lah De Dah" also pay tribute to the singer, alongside some famous faces wishing him a Happy 60th Birthday, including Sir Cliff Richard, Garth Brooks and Nathan Carter.
